How’s the market? 📈🏡

The summer housing market is picking up, with inventory hitting a post-pandemic high nationwide. Now this is driven mostly by big gains in the South, and out West. New listings increased 4.2% year over year, and active inventory is up nearly 30%, giving buyers more options, even though affordability is still tight. Homes are sitting on the market a bit longer, which is giving some relief to prices that have been holding steady, and could signal a cooling trend. The Midwest and Northeast still don’t have enough homes for sale to match the demand, and that’s why we’re still seeing steady prices across the area, especially in Philly.

This week I’ve been locked into “Yellowjackets”, on Amazon Prime. If you’ve read Lord of the Flies, the story might sound familiar. A high school girls’ soccer team is headed to nationals when their plane crashes in the wilderness, leaving them to survive for over a year with no help and rising tension. Fast-forward 25 years, some of the girls made it back home and some didn’t and now we’re trying to figure out what exactly happened when they were stuck in the wild.
